In our society for example that we can dress in styles and fashions that we choose. People are expected to dress in certain attire for certain occasions. This attire usually is a norm that is not broken. So it came as a surprise when I violated this particular norm. I chose to break this norm by wearing a pink tutu and a matching crown to crew practice. This was a clear violation of a norm because usually the clothing accepted at a sports practice is a t-shirt and shorts, not a tutu.
