My grandfather's parents were also farmers. By the time they became farmers their parents had already passed down the ranch. They pretty much worked the same hours and farmed the same way. My great grandfather joined the marines for twelve years, therefore they were moving around the nation from house to house. They still owned the ranch but were not making any money off of it. After my great grandfather got shot in the leg by enemy fire, he decided that was enough of the military and returned back home to Texas to take care of the ranch.
