This paper will explain how Maslow’s hierarchy of needs (Self actualization, esteem, Love/Belonging, safety and physiological) will be most effective to motivate employees and groups. The first level of Maslow’s Theory is the physiological needs which are basic needs such as water, food, rest, sleep and oxygen. These are things that you yourself is responsible for. By reducing current physical discomfort this first step has to be met. When everyone is rested and have food they function better and can think more clearly. Employers should allow employees breaks throughout the day this will give them a chance to gather their thoughts as well as give them time to make personal phone calls and get food to eat...
