The clothes are different as well; in the modern version they appear as if they are wearing modern day clothes such as jeans and shirts, whereas in the much older version they give the impression that they are wearing some sort of dress. If I didn't have knowledge of Shakespeare, I wouldn't know how to visualize or picture Shakespeare suggesting I wouldn't see him as old fashioned and extremely talented because we wouldn't recognize him as we do today... The reason for this is that Baz Luhrmann's version was more lively and effective; I would say the modern adaptation was better from a rock music point of view, but on the other hand the classical music wasn't such a bad idea...
