The more people in a group setting, the more difficult it is to get everyone to agree. In addition, in larger groups there are more feelings and ideas involve, and the ability to reach one agreed upon resolution becomes increasingly more challenging. Polly Gerber Zimmerman in an article called, Emergency Nurse, suggested the use of the following guidelines when establishing workplace negotiations:
Focus- Keep the issues involved simple
Attitude- Realize that you may gain or lose something during the negotiation

Negotiation is a process by which two or more persons with some common and different objectives gather to reach an agreement.
